Saturday night, The Pearl took a step back in time as ’80s iconic duo Tears for Fears took the stage. An eerie cover of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” recorded by pop sensation Lorde filled the room before the band took the stage and played the version the audience was waiting to hear. After belting out the song, Curt Smith hopped on bass guitar as he joined the other part of the duo, Roland Orzabal for a night of great live music that included their hits “Shout,” “Head Over Heels” and “Pale Shelter.” The band even performed a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep,” which they have been covering for years and recently performed during a Spotify Landmark Session in November.
