The second wave of boutique openings in the Design District has officially begun as Swiss watchmaker OMEGA held a grand 400-person bash inside an adjacent venue to where the store will be when it opens in a matter of days. The venue was designed by Aranda/Lasch and had fun interactive elements and displays designed to evoke the Master Co-Axial technology – the world’s first industrialized anti-magnetic movements that is the basis of the brand’s 166 year identity. So what does that look like? A the choreographed magnetic dust projection, levitating displays, photo booth and magnetic fluid sculptures
VIPs in attendance included actress Camilla Belle, Inés Rivero, Criselda Breene, Jay Phillip Parker, David Bloom, Fernanda and Pedro Domit, Hernan Arriaga and Fabio Lopes, Marco and Vanessa Selva, Anastasia Koutsioukis and Ahmet Erkay, among others. The splashy event was hosted by OMEGA Vice President and Head of International Sales, Raynald Aeschlimann. With this opening OMEGA now has 31 boutiques in the country, and two in the Magic City.
