Miamis Biggest Philanthropic Events of the Fall

Miami was filled to the brim with philanthropic events this past fall.

20TH ANNUAL INTERCONTINENTAL MIAMI MAKE-A-WISH

THE THREE AMIGOS, SHAREEF MALNIK, Robert Hill and Norman Wedderburn really outdid themselves for the event’s 20th Anniversary. An over-the-top theme of “Oz Reimagined” allowed for fun décor, real live characters, and a naughty on-stage performance with Gabrielle Anwar. Diana Ross performed a mini-concert for the generous crowd. Afterwards, those ready to keep the party rolling headed to the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Nightlclub hosted by Michael Capponi and InList for a fashion show by Neiman Marcus.

THE BLACKS’ ANNUAL GALA CELEBRATED ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY at the Fontainebleau with a star-studded party and a riveting performance by Aretha Franklin. Guests enjoyed a GREY GOOSE cocktail reception, a silent auction, which featured a Jaguar from Warren Henry, exotic trips, jewelry followed

MIAMI CITY BALLET OPENING NIGHT

 

MIAMI CITY BALLET’S 2014/15 SEASON kicked off with Romeo and Juliet and a VIP reception following the gripping performance. The opening night event was reserved for MCB’s Member’s Circle of donors, a generous group of people that keep the ballet going. DJ Corey Chase provided the music while the crowed, which included ballet dancers from the evening’s show, got to nosh on sweet and savory bits in the Arsht Center’s Peacock Room.

HOPE DIAMOND BALL AFFAIR

 

THE MIAMI CHILDREN’S HEALTH FOUNDATION HOPE Diamond Ball Affair attracted 800 community leaders, philanthorpists, physicians and friends to the JW Marriot Marquis for an elegant black tie gala. The event raised $6 million to support world-class care at thehospital. Romero Britto was inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walters A International Pediatric Hall of Fame for exemplifying his passion for helping children throughout the world.
