Fall Cocktail Recipes to Start the Week Off Right

Pack away your summer rosé, gin, and vodka and pick up a bottle of of sherry and aged rum. Inspired by the orange and red hues of the changing leaves, the Sun Rising cocktail features the aromas of toffee and caramel, plus subtle notes of bittersweet chocolate. It’s the ultimate mixed drink to sip when the temperate dips.

Ingredients:
2 oz. Facundo Eximo
.25 oz. Amontillado Sherry
.25 oz. Oloroso Sherry
.25 oz. PX Sherry
1 dash orange bitters

Method: Stir all ingredients with plenty ice until very cold, serve into a coupe glass. No garnish.

Flying Cowboy

There’s something about tequila that makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside—and the El Vaquero is no exception. Infused with spicy cinnamon and sweet pear puree, this fall cocktail is sure to add a little color to your cheeks.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Tequila Avión Anejo
1/2 oz. Rye whiskey
1/2 oz. cinnamon schnapps
1 oz. pear puree
3/4 oz. lemon juice
1/4 oz. simple syrup
Cinnamon stick for garnish

Method: Combine all ingredients in an ice filled shaker. Shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a Collins or highball glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Pumpkin has become almost as synonymous with fall as knee-high boots. For an adult twist on your favorite pumpkin spice latte, check out this liquid libation featuring Pumpkin Irish cream and vanilla flavored vodka. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and spice for a (late) afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Espresso
1 oz. Absolut Vanilla
2 oz. Pumpkin Irish cream
Cinnamon stick for garnish

Method: Combine all ingredients in an iced filled shaker, shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a martini glass that has been rimmed with cinnamon and sugar. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
