At the latest edition of Dubai Fashion Forward, Tahir Sultan, in collaboration with the W Retreat & Spa – Maldives, launched his new wardrobe collection uniquely designed for the island resort. The collection will be worn exclusively by the team at the W Maldives.
Indo-Kuwaiti fashion designer, Tahir Sultan, in collaboration with W Retreat & Spa – Maldives, unveiled his latest collection at the fourth edition of Dubai Fashion Forward. The collection paid tribute to the natural beauty of the Maldives through colorful and vibrant patterns. The catwalk showcased two distinct themes including Tahir’s Spring/Summer collection as well as uniquely tailored wardrobe that will be worn exclusively by the W Maldives’ staff, with the show set to the tunes of music curated by Michaelangelo L’Acqua, Global Music Director of the W Hotels.
Entitled ‘Infinite Days & Infinite Nights’, the collection caters to infinite days of working and going out, with the colors and shapes were inspired by the aquatic life, vibrant coral reefs, and white sand beaches that surround W Retreat & Spa – Maldives. Drawing from nature’s color palette, Tahir used shades of coral, turquoise, shell, amethyst, indigo purple, electric blue, aqua and hints of neon, while prints and embellishments take their reference from fish scales, pearls, the coal and reefs. The luxurious pieces pay particular attention to detail, including glow in the dark elements as part of the resort’s “Let It Glow” campaign.
