Dandelyan Bar Launches at Mondrian London

With the arrival of the Mondrian London comes Dandelyan, a new hotel watering hole for the capital’s cocktail aficionados. From award-winning bar impresario Ryan Chetiyawardana, AKA Mr Lyan, the aptly named venue is a decadent Tom Dixon-designed affair, housing a striking green marble bar and candy pink leather banquettes with signature Deco details. The menu of innovative cocktails and refined interpretations of the classics is inspired from the botanical wilds of both the British countryside and around the worlds – it’s fair to say there’s nowhere else like this in London.

Think serves of Compass Box Great King Street scotch, Pierre Ferrand Curacao, toasted grain soda, with chocolate and pink peppercorn, or sparkling Grey Goose vodka, crystal peach nectar, lime-flower blossom and vanilla – all enjoyed over magnificent views of the Thames. We loved the Evil Manhattan – but don’t have more than two, tops (the clue is in the name).

Bar snacks are top-class too, with crudités sourced from nearby Borough Market as well as a Neal’s Yard cheese board and cheeky beef sliders for serious midnight feasting.

The Mondrian is undoubtedly London’s finest addition to the luxury hotel scene and has made an impression with critics and guests alike, and an evening by the bar is a great place to get to know this hot new property.
