$60 Million Listing in Key Biscayne Could Be Record High Home Sale

Mashta Drive 3

The 11,500-square-foot home, located at 775 Mashta Drive off of Key Biscayne, is set to hit the market for $60 million. While the five-story, eight bedroom home constructed in 1991 is huge, it’s the very special piece of property it sits on that garners the price, which could just be a record high home sale for Miami.

The house, which has been largely unused for years, features a deep water harbor and private cove is surrounded by 2 acres of lush, private property dotted by palm trees, a monstrous swimming pool and large pool house to match. This piece of land has historic credentials too. The former estate of W.J. Matheson, the same man that Hammock Park is named after. Before that, the Vanderbilts and Carnegie’s partied here at the turn of the century.

This unique property is going to require just the right buyer who can afford this piece of paradise. If the property gets asking price or close to it, it will be the most expensive house to be sold in Miami.

Previous highs include $47 million Indian Creek manse sold in 2012.
