RYAN SEACREST LAUNCHES FIRST FASHION COLLECTION Jack of all trades Ryan Seacrest, best known for his hosting duties on American Idol and producing hit shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians, has now made his first foray into the world of fashion. The host with the most will launch his Ryan Seacrest Distinction line at Macy’s this September. His inaugural collection includes tailored suits, slim-fit shirts, ties and cufflinks. 

JAMES FRANCO TO RECEIVE JAEGER-LE COULTRE AWARD AT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL James Franco will take home yet another accolade this fall when he receives the prestigious Jaeger-Le Coultre Glory trophy at the Venice Film Festival; the award singles out individuals who are focused on innovating contemporary cinema. Franco will receive the award before the world premiere of his latest film, The Sound and the Fury.

TRINA TURK TO LAUNCH FIRST HANDBAG COLLECTION L.A. based designer Trina Turk is adding another staple to her SoCal-friendly collection of clothing, shoes and activewear—handbags. Turk recently hosted a poolside shindig at her Los Feliz home to celebrate the new collection, which is comprised of three separate lines: Essentials—everyday work bags, Luxe—bags, mostly clutches, geared toward evening made of specialty materials, and Sun—a line that won’t launch until 2015, but will be for those breezy summer days sitting by the beach in style.
