Weekend Routine: Olya Dubrovsky From Mina + Olya

DSC00149

Olya Dubrovsky is one busy lady. She is one half of the luxury eco-design duo, Mina + Olya, a wife, a mom of two and a San Francisco socialite who lives the jet-set lifestyle.  On any given evening, the designer – who hails from Russia by way of New York City – can be found out and about in San Francisco’s most elite circles…until the weekend, when it’s her time to relax and rejuvenate.  Here, Dubrovsky shares her weekend routine with Haute Living.

It is amazing how many beautiful places can be found in San Francisco and the Bay Area.  Never ending social life offers endless options on exhibitions, gallery and restaurant openings, as well as galas. There is always something to do for everyone and here are five of my favorites things to do on the weekend:

Breakfast

Mama’s is the best breakfast spot in the city that offers all-time favorites like their favorite French toasts and the best Eggs Benedicts in town. The menu is very extensive and really worth the wait since you cannot make reservations.  Take your favorite book while you wait and prepare to indulge yourself!

Shopping

The best shopping area in town is Hayes Valley!  My favorite boutiques with the most impressive selections are:

MAC (Dries Van Noten)

Rand and Statler (Acne ready to wear, Cat and Bird jewelry, Grey Ant sunglasses)

Azalea (best selection of jeans)

Alla Prima (the only boutique to carry ERES lingerie and swimwear in the city)

Lunch

Once you get tired and want a little break stop by at Papito’s for some Mexican and the best sangrias in town. The duck tacos and ceviche is to die for.

Cocktails

For pre-dinner cocktails Clock Bar is amazing! Located in the lobby of the Saint Francis hotel, the selection of drinks and the most exclusive selection of best liquors in town will definitely put you in the good mood for the rest of the night.

Dinner

Dinner is one of my personal favorite pastimes! I Love sitting with close friends, not rushing anywhere, wearing the best outfits and most importantly enjoying decadent food from Saison!  Joshua Skenes and Mark Bright created a haven for the foodies of San Francisco where everything from the interior to the staff and music are perfect. Last year Saison received their second Michelin Star but to me they are the best.  I have traveled the world and eaten in the finest restaurants, but Saison is my favorite! The menu changes every day based on the season so be prepared to be pleasantly surprised. And do get greeted with a glass of Krug champagne!
