Nicky Romero, Carl Cox and More Kick Off the Weekend in Vegas

The legendary DJ/producer Carl Cox continued his exclusive engagement at Light at Mandalay Bay on Thursday night to celebrate EDC. Earlier in the week, the musical ambassador and pioneer took in some local flavor before his big night, seeing the Cirque du Soleil produced shows MJ One at Mandalay Bay and The Beatles LOVE at The Mirage. At Light, Cox set the night off with an unbelievable set of melodic house and electric sounds that left fans in awe during his performance. Fellow DJs and fans Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sandro Silva, GTA, Don Diablo and Fedde Le Grand were also in the building taking in Cox’s electrifying set. Light’s EDC week celebration continues Friday night with Alesso and Sandro Silva.

Dutch DJ sensation Nicky Romero put on a second show at Daylight Beach Club and Mandalay Bay on Thursday night. Swimwear clad fans arrived to see the “Toulouse” artist’s show.

Haze at Aria joined the celebration with a kick-off party featuring the sizzling the Miami DJ duo GTA. Before their show, the EDC headliners stopped by star Akira Back’s Kumi Japanese Restaurant + Bar at Mandalay Bay. Next, the duo headed to Haze and immediately launched their set with a crowd pleasing mix of deep house, trap and hip-hop sounds. After their show, they visited Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay to see the legendary Carl Cox’s perform.

Dutch sensation Don Diablo launched Liquid Pool Lounge’s EDC week festivities with an electrifying poolside show. Diablo touched down in Vegas on Wednesday and dined at Yellowtail and Kumi and also took in fellow DJ Nicky Romero’ show at Light that night. The next day at Liquid, he was greeted by a sea of adoring fans with “Don Diablo” tees. During his highly anticipated set, he played an eclectic mix of sounds and dropped a never heard before track featuring his friend and singer, Bully, that wowed the crowd. He continued his set until 5:30 p.m., buying shots and drinks for partygoers while playing. After Vegas, he heads to Europe to play a festival.
