The 2014 awards season saw the men of Hollywood eschewing their traditional black and white penguin suits for more eye-catching jewel tones, and the trend, thankfully, seems to have stuck. The latest to embrace this look is British star Robert Pattinson, who wowed in head-to-toe Alexander McQueen at the U.S. premiere of his latest film, The Rover.

At the Loft & Bear-presented premiere, held at Westwood’s Regency Bruin Theatre, R-Patz looked dapper and dandy in a bright blue Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 two-button notched-lapel suit styled with a white dress shirt, navy tie and patent-leather shoes.

When a fan asked what he was wearing, the 28-year-old stopped to think for a moment and remarked, “I just sort of wear things that look nice to me, and I really like this color.”

No doubt the former Twilight star also smelled good as well, as he was no doubt wearing the Dior Homme fragrance, of which he is the face.

A24’s The Rover recently celebrated its world premiere as an Official Selection at the 2014 Cannes Film FestivalThe film follows hardened loner Eric (Guy Pearce), who travels the desolate towns and roads of the Australian outback. When a brutal gang of thieves steals his car and only remaining possession, they leave behind the wounded Rey (Pattinson) in their wake. Forcing Rey to help track the gang, Eric gives chase.
