Super Saturday, one of the hautest events of the Hamptons made its successful inaugural voyage to L.A. over the weekend.
The glamorous daytime shopping extravaganza raised $600,000 for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund thanks to generous designer donations, celebrity participation and fabulous fashion-centric hosts Molly Sims and Rachel Zoe.
The ladies, alongside (respective) husbands Scott Stuber and Rodger Berman, were on hand May 17th to shop for a cause at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar. The stylish duo spent the day mingling with their families and other celeb friends at the “Rolls Royce of garage sales” in commemoration of the OCRF’s 20th anniversary.
Zoe, who is a long-time supporter of OCRF, made the rounds at the garage sale – checking out fellow designer before signing copies of her new book “Living in Style” at the Kitson booth.
The day was fun for all ages. While adults shopped, kids were treated to activities such as face-painting, wallet-making, an all-you-can-eat candy bar courtesy of It’s Sugar, learning the tricks of the fashion trade at Rob Younkers and Joe Zee’s Stitched Fashion Camp, P.S. ARTS and Duff’s Cakemix’s on-site interactive design bakery.
Liev Schreiber stopped by the event and enjoyed some father-son bonding while mom Naomi Watts was away in Cannes as he and his played in the private jet, provided by the luxury Las Vegas hotels Palazzo and Venetian. Christina Milian stopped by with her daughter Violet – snagging an Angry Bird plush toy and visiting some of the great children’s activities at the event – including a family lounge by The Honest Company and the interactive play area with the educational children’s TV network BabyFirst.
