On Tuesday evening, I headed to PAMM to celebrate the launch of Lee Brian Schrager’s second cookbook, FRIED & TRUE: More Than 50 Recipes for America’s Best Fried Chicken and Sides. Over 250 of Miami’s most fashionable, art loving, fried-food-craving souls headed to experience true comfort food.
The chicken, served buffet style was merged with a touch of family style, allowing guests to sample the delicious options that are in Schrager’s newest cookbook, that each guest received upon departure. Guests including Thom Collins, Leann Standish, DJ Irie, Shareef Malnik, Marisa Toccin Lucas, Alec Lindenauer, Gingi Beltran, Nathalie Cadet-James, Marcella Novella, Criselda Breene, Barbara Becker, Vanessa Dadaglio, Chef Allen Susser and Ana Quincoces feasted on a selection of five recipes from the cookbook showcased by catering powerhouse and PAMM event partner Stephen Starr Events as Martin Hand played Southern-style favorites in the background. FRIED & TRUE celebrates America’s “comfort” food fried chicken reveling in the country’s most outstanding fried chicken recipes and the chefs who make them.
