Everyone knows that Jennifer Lopez is a pop icon, but now Billboard has made it official.

The 44-Jennifer entertainer was awarded with the Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 18th.

The American Idol judge took to the stage at Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena twice before accepting her honor.  She first joined long-time collaborator and friend Pitbull as well as Claudia Lette to premiere the official anthem of this year’s FIFA World Cup, “We Are One (Ole Ola).” She also debuted “First Love”, the first single form her upcoming “A.K.A.” album before accepting her accolade from Ricky Martin and Iggy Azalea.

“Oh my God! What the heck?” the stunning singer said upon receiving her award. “Music has always been my first love.” She thanked God, her fans, family, friends, manager Benny Medina, Latinos (“para mi gente”) and wished for the “little ones” who were watching from home to follow their dreams.

JLo is the first women to receive the coveted BBMA trophy. Past winners of the Icon Award include Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince.

It has also been announced that La Lopez will be releasing her first book – titled True Love — on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
