Introducing The Garden Bar Champagne Terrace At The Ritz London

The Ritz Restaurant TerraceHere at Haute Living London we have high hopes that the sun may remember what it’s paid to do and put in an appearance this weekend. Optimistic? Perhaps, but we do like to look on the bright side. Should the sun shine, we – as always – have a fabulous suggestion on where you can make the most of it in London. Enter: the new Garden Bar, Champagne Terrace at The Ritz.

Serving Champagne, cigars and canapés by Executive Chef John Williams MBE, the Garden Bar, Champagne Terrace – part of the renowned Ritz restaurant – is (in our humble opinion) the perfect place to enjoy the early May bank holiday over a glass of fizz while watching the sun set across Green Park.

The Garden Bar Champagne Terrace menu will change frequently and will offer a selection of light seasonal canapés, cornets of smoked salmon muscovite and a range of British cheeses. The menu will also offer a choice of cigars, namely Partagas, Montecristo and Cohiba and Laurent-Perrier, Bollinger, Dom Pérignon, Krug Grande Cuvée and Ritz Selection Champagnes and will be open from Monday to Sunday between 3pm and 7pm.

The secluded terrace features a beautiful Italian mosaic floor surrounded by ornate wrought iron balustrades adorned with vibrant floral boxes. With tables draped in crisp white linen, topped with gleaming silverware and sheltered by vast parasols, The Garden Bar, Champagne Terrace promises to be a stylish and sophisticated sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly.

The Ritz Restaurant is considered by many to be the most beautiful hotel restaurant in the world.  The vast floor to ceiling windows, the rich and varied use of soft pink, pale green and veined white marble, and the dazzling garlands of chandeliers reflected in the wall of panelled mirror, combine to create one of the most spectacular interiors in London, as charming by day as by night.  The west facing windows overlook The Terrace and Green Park and during the day, the sunshine enhances the interior brightness while in the low evening light, the circle of chandeliers and table candelabras create a magical reflection in the mirrors.

Executive Chef John Williams MBE has been at the helm of the hotel’s dining service for almost 10 years and he has made it his mission to ensure The Ritz hallmark of excellence is delivered with every meal.

The Ritz Restaurant’s impeccable service is overseen by Simon Girling (Executive Food and Beverage Operations Manager), perfectly executed by waiters – in their signature tailcoats, like a beautifully choreographed ballet. The legendary wine list is overseen by Head Sommelier, Tobias Brauweiler, who came in the top six of the UK Sommelier of the Year Competition 2012.
