John Legend delivered a special performance at Hyde Bellagio on Saturday night. The Grammy Award-winning artist arrived at the sleek nightspot alongside supermodel wife Chrissy Teigen just before 1 a.m.
The couple looked stunning in all black as they posed for a flurry of photographers and waved to fans before heading inside. Legend and Teigen made their way through the packed club and settled into a plush VIP booth overlooking the dance floor.
Later in the night Legend climbed into the DJ booth to give guests an intimate performance. As soon as he appeared overhead, hundreds of eager fans gathered around to try to catch a glimpse of the musical superstar. Much to the delight of the room, Legend performed two of his hit songs, “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” and “Greenlight.” The first number sparked an impromptu duet with rapper Ludacris, which had the crowd singing along and screaming for more.
Before heading back to his table, Legend stopped to sign autographs and take photos with fans. He continued the party late into the night with Tiegen and friends. The R&B singer will give a live performance from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight at the Billboard Music Awards.
Earlier in the evening, Hyde played host for the official pre-party of the Billboard Music Awards. Partygoers enjoyed cocktails while dancing to beats provided by Jermaine Dupri, who DJ-ed the event. Guests were also treated to numerous “pop-up” performances by entertainers including Estelle, Fred Durst, Donovan Leitch and Austin Brown. Other celebrities in attendance included singer Natasha Bedingfield, host of ABC’s The Bachelor/Bachelorette Chris Harrison, and upcoming season’s Bachelorette Andi Dorfman.
