A Glimpse at England’s First Superyacht Hotel

The Sunborn London––Britain’s first-ever superyacht hotel––is now a permanent fixture in the capital’s Royal Victoria Dock, neighboring the city’s largest exhibition center, ExCel London.

The 354-ft. yacht’s 80-seat Land’s End restaurant will serve sumptuous Mediterranean dishes, while its Sundowner bar––situated by the Hotel’s lobby––overlooks marvelous views of Canary Warf and the O2. The lavish boat also has a 50-seat auditorium, a number of conference spaces, a boardroom, several spa treatment rooms, and a gym that boasts a 12-man sauna.

At £180 per night, guests can enjoy the superyacht’s spacious, classic rooms, some of which have private balconies; each comes equipped with a flat screen satellite television, individual climate control capabilities and a Sony tablet that grants access to the Hotel’s facilities and local shops. Its bathrooms have heated floors, and are adorned with toiletries by luxe label Molton Brown.

More notably, however, are the vessel’s upscale executive suites, which feature king-size beds, a Nespresso coffee maker, and an additional Samsung tablet with guest directory.
