1 Butterscotch Budino with Caramel Sauce and Rosemary-Pine Nut Cookies at Pizzeria Mozza

Nancy Silverton was just named Outstanding Chef at this year's James Beard Awards, so you should believe us when we say that you NEED to try the Butterscotch Budino at the Hancock Park eatery she co-owns with Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich. The budino - which means "pudding" in Italian - is a mind-blowing mix of caramel, cream, butterscotch and salt. Its deep buttery-caramel flavor and thick, velvety texture makes this sweet treat a must-try.

2 The Kitchen Sink at Culina, Modern Italian

If dessert is your thing and you want to go big in the best way possible, you should clearly order Culina, Modern Italian's indulgent confection, The Kitchen Sink. The Four Seasons Beverly Hills' over-the-top treat is a combination of ice cream, sorbet, meringues, candies and cookies, with marshmallows, sprinkles, meringue, caramel sauce and berries to boot served in one gigantic bowl. Go big or stay home, right?

3 Torte di Gelato at Bulgarini

Bulgarini, in our opinion, serves up the very best gelato in Los Angeles. No matter what kind you order, your mouth will be in heaven. We're partial to the Pistachio, which is made from hand-ground pistachios flown in from Italy. If you're feeling greedy, order the Torte di Gelato - a seasonal treat featuring several flavors of gelato, of which include Chocolate Salt and Pear, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate and Pistachio and Pomegranate.

4 Birch Ice at Red Medicine

We love the look of Jordan Kahn's spectacular Birch Ice as much as we do the taste. This ice-cold confection is a refreshing yet succulent combination of almond praline, red currant, orange blossom and jasmine. Heaven.

5 Macarons at Bouchon Bakery

The macarons at Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery are an L.A. staple. This classic French pastry filled with rich buttercream are light and crisp on the outside and soft and chewy inside. These perfect pastries change in flavor with the seasons, though chocolate , vanilla and caramel are always on offer staples. If you're lucky, the Earl Grey will be available when you stop by Bouchon Bakery's Beverly Hills location.
