How chic would it be to dine with Roberto Cavalli and his son Tommaso in the worlds most sought after city? No, you are not in a dream, but this is – can be your reality because tonight, Thursday, April 24th, the world-renowned couturier Roberto Cavalli along with his son, wine aficionado Tommaso Cavalli, are taking a break from the beautiful Italian peninsula to host a special four-course dinner paired with the family wine at Cavalli Miami Restaurant & Lounge. The father and son duo will bring their finest Italian vinos from the Cavalli vineyard,Tenuta degli Dei, where each vintage will be paired with the culinary delights of Executive Chef Stefano Mazzi. The four-course wine dinner is priced at $120 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.
In true, authentic Italian fashion, the evening will begin with appetizer choices of vitello tonnato; prosciutto di parma with port-infused melon and truffle pecorino; or Tuscan chianina beef tartare and truffles, all paired with Le Redini 2010 IGT. Cavalli Miami Restaurant & Lounge’s sommelier, Matias Benjamin Vergara, will talk about the rich history of Roberto Cavalli’s wine and grappa grown in the region of Chianti just outside of Florence, where Tommaso has resided since 1989. Primi options, which present diners with an array of classic pasta dishes, include agnolotti al burro e salvia; gnocchi al ragout d’anatra; and wild boar ravioli and truffle, are complemented with a glass of Tenuta Degli Dei 2007 IGT.
For main plates, guests will enjoy Tenuta Degli Dei 2009 IGT with a choice of fileto di manzo al Tenuta Degli Dei and rosemary potatoes; Colorado rack of lamb, salmorillo sauce and grilled vegetables; or vitello al burro and salvia with white asparagus. Guests can end the night on a sweet note with a choice of a tropical and citrus sorbet; chocolate crème brulee; or vacherine roasted pineapple, honey sorbet and thyme gelato.
