“We’re Motörhead and were going to kick your ass!” frontman Lemmy Kilmister announced as the rockers took the stage and that set the tone for Thursday night’s sold out Motörhead and Megadeth show at the Pearl at the Palms.

The Pearl was literally shaking with rock ‘n’ roll as fans screamed and cheered as Lemmy took the stage with Motörhead bandmates, a sign from fans that they were happy to see him (Motörhead had recently canceled some show dates due to Lemmy’s health). You wouldn’t know it as the band thrashed through songs including Ace of Spades, Overkill and Lost Woman Blues covering songs from their vast career, including the late 2013 release Aftershock.

Megadeth closed out the night with a dramatic performance which included hits from the past nearly three decades of music including Symphony of Destruction, Holy Wars and Hangar 18. Prior to the show, Megadeth fan actor Nic Cage was seen backstage meeting Dave Mustaine before enjoying the show. Another very special guest was in the audience as Megadeth flew in fan Sarah Churman for her first rock concert. Churman was deaf until the age of 29 when she received an implant in 2011 allowing her to hear for the first time.
