Mother’s Day is right around the corner and children everywhere are scrambling to find the perfect gift for that special lady in their lives, I know I am. It’s hard to find the “perfect gift,” it may even be impossible but I think I have found something that is pretty close. As I was preparing a list of Mother’s Day brunches/dinners I came across the five star Langham Chicago’s impressive Mother’s Day offerings. They have a couple different options, with the first being an incredible afternoon tea service at the Pavilion Lounge. Pastry Chef Scott Green has created a tasty menu with savory and sweet treats, including edible flowers. If you try and book this afternoon tea online it may appear to be completely booked, but a little birdie told me that there are still available spaces for those that call (312-923-7710). That’s just the tip of the iceberg, you can also spoil the Mom in your life with special hotel packages, treatments at Chaun Spa and gourmet brunch at the much-praised Travelle.
