AUDI PRESENTS THE ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION OSCAR VIEWING PARTY

The hautest and most philanthropic bash of awards season was, as usual, the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar viewing party. The 22nd annual event, sponsored by Audi, saw a slew of big names stepping out in support of Sir Elton and partner David Furnish’s most important cause. The evening, held at West Hollywood Park, raised $5.1 for the fight against HIV/AIDS during a lively auction that included items such as a stay at Steven Tyler’s Hawaiian home and a piano played and signed by Sir Elton and his longtime writing partner, Bernie Taupin. Prior to the auction, guests like Robert De Niro, Tommy Hilfiger, Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian enjoyed a dinner prepared by British chef Gordon Ramsay while selecting their picks for winners of the 86th Annual Academy Awards; infamous heiress Patty Hearst won a Chopard watch for correctly guessing the highest number of Oscar winners. British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran capped the evening with a 45-minute performance of hits such as “The A Team,” and “Lego House” before performing a special duet of “Candle in the Wind” with Sir Elton himself.
