Today’s Haute Time Watch of the Day is a debut from Baselworld 2014. From the Blancapin Villeret collection comes an example of the Blancpain heritage and innovation in complications, The Carrousel Moon Phase.
Powered by the new Blancpain 225L movement, this amazing debut by Blancpain brings together a carrousel, moon phase and a date in one impressive timepiece. The movement is housed in a 42mm, 18k red-gold case with a beautiful grand feu enamel dial. Roman numerals are used on the main dial to mark hours and minutes. A blued steel hand indicates the date and the moon phase indicator is at the 6 o’clock position on the dia. At the 12 o’clock position the impressive carrousel carriage is visible.
The back of The Carrousel Moon Phase features a sapphire crystal with a view of the Cotes de Geneve detail on the movement. Two under-lug correctors are also on the back to adjust the date and moon phase indicator. Fitted with a chocolate brown alligator strap, The new Blancapin Carrousel Moon Phase is also available in a Platinum version. Both red-gold and platinum pieces will be part of a Limited collection released by Blancpain.
