The iconic Selfridges department store has opened not only London but Britain’s biggest indoor skatepark, in partnership with mobile phone company HTC.

The 18,500 sq ft HTC One Skatepark is situated at the Old Selfridges Hotel on Orchard Street and is open to the public until 19 April.

The skatepark, which has been built as part of Selfridges’ skate and surf initiative Board Games, features rails, benches, banks and ramps inspired by famous London skateboarding street spots, such as the Southbank’s Undercroft.

To coincide with the pop-up space, Selfridges has also opened a dedicated skateboard shop called The Board Room. Here you’ll find limited edition skateboards on sale by designers including Kenzo, Erdem, Stella McCartney, Rick Owens and Christian Louboutin.

Now that’s something we can get on board with…
