Radisson Blu Aqua Deals with Chicago’s Birthday

Radisson-Blu-Aqua-Hotel-Chicago-3

Chicago turned 177 years old yesterday (3/4), and it seems like the last 100 of them have been this winter. It seems like it just won’t let up, and the moment you think the snow is over…boom, another 3-5 inches. The wintertime can be a bit taxing on the nerves and we all need a way to relax and de-stress. Unfortunately for a lot of us, we can’t just up and go somewhere warm four months out of the year because of work, family, finances or whatever, but there is a way to calm your nerves and enjoy yourself in the city right now. One of my favorite hotels in the city, the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago (221 N. Columbus Drive), is celebrating Chicago’s birthday with a great and affordable deal. For the months of March and April, the upper-upscale hotel offers promotional rates at $177 for Business Class rooms and $139 for standard city-view rooms.

With the booking of a Business Class room, guests receive access to the 24-hour Business Lounge, which includes continental breakfast and evening beverage service. Guests returning from a long day of meetings or sightseeing can unwind with complimentary evening cocktails while leafing through an impressive selection of magazines and newspapers or catching sports games and the evening news on the lounge’s flat panel TV. Offering supreme comfort and exceptional service intended to enhance the stay of the business and leisure traveler, a designated concierge is on hand from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 to 10:00 p.m. to provide personalized service for all guests utilizing the lounge. Guests must stay a minimum of two nights in order to receive reduced rates. Both room types can be booked online at www.radissonbluchicago.com or by calling  (800) 333-3333.

Also participating in the festivities, Filini Bar & Restaurant, the hotel’s in-house restaurant, will offer all rapido lunch selections at the discounted price of $17.77 for March only, normally $21. The speedy lunch option consists of a starter, main course, and dessert on a compartmentalized plate – perfect for guests with limited time. Diners can indulge in authentic Italian fare including Garganelli with prosciutto, radicchio, mascarpone, truffle oil, and chives; Vitello with veal scaloppini, grilled polenta, mixed mushrooms, and vincotto; and Salmerino with pan seared artic char, broccolini, citrus, and olives. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling 312.477.0234.
