Chef Shane McIntosh of Ocean Catering Company has built a name for himself in Atlanta and his innovative catering company. Along with his culinary expertise, his vibrant personality truly makes for a great experience. Now, the chef will open his first restaurant concept in downtown Atlanta, catering to the busy professionals and residents in the area.
Inspired by a trip to Paris with is family, Ocean Market, is a European deli-inspired lunch spot with a mix of industrial-modern (stainless steel drink coolers and Edison light bulb fixtures) and European-chic ( handmade server aprons and hand-crafted outdoor furniture.). The 1400-square foot storefront (in the same building as their catering business) features butcher-block counters, a small dine-in area with bar seating and a community table as well as an outdoor seating space for the warmer weather.
As for the food, diners can expect a bevy of delicious options like fresh soups, salads, panini, crepes and eventually homemade salad and deli options by the pound- all made with a Chef McIntosh’s signature spin. We are particularly excited to try the Best Grilled Cheese Ever (a smoked Gouda, triple creme Brie and handmade spiced pimento and the Dirty South Bread Salad with mixed greens, heirloom tomatoes, thick croutons, steamed crab and seared crawfish tails tossed in basil pistou.
Along with the lunch items, diners can choose from an assortment of alternative drinks like Pellegrino lemonade, craft root beers, ginger beer and bottled white teas as well as a selection of cupcakes and mini cakes.
Ocean Market is set to open on Monday March 10 and will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.When the weather warms up, the outdoor seating at this Peachtree Street spot will be the perfect place for a leisure lunch with a side of people watching.
