Saturday, March 8 was a night of Mid-Winter glamour when Italian luxury house Ferragamo hosted the Mid-Winter Gala at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. The gala, presented by the Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, paid homage to Ferragamo’s 100th year with an “al fresco” theme of Italy. Designer Lewis Miller Design created an exquisite ambiance of glamour from a bygone era, the elegance of the Ferragamo family’s Italian palazzo and the sun drenched formality of Florence.
Honorary Chairmen Vanessa Getty and Trevor Traina along with Junior Committee Chairmen Katheryl Lasater and Allison Speer welcomed A-list guests Camilla Belle, Dita Von Teese, Dylan Penn, Tatum Getty, Balthazar Getty and Connie Nielsen among many who were inspired by Ferragamo’s Hollywood legacy. In his welcoming speech, Traina commented, “Ferragamo has promised lots of Italian Style, and we are so looking forward to that.”
The annual gala and fundraiser is organized by the Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco with the goal of bringing together the next generation of outstanding young persons in the bay area.
