Rebar Revelry

At Rebar, the hotel’s chic mezzanine-level lounge that overlooks the Chicago River, guests can take advantage of the view from the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests are invited to enjoy two signature cocktails ($18 each), designed to fill St. Patrick’s Day revelers with the “Luck o’ the Irish”: the Four Leaf Clover Club, a twist on the classic clover club cocktail crafted with gin, fresh raspberries, lemon juice and clove essence and the Hot Irish Coffee topped with handcrafted Jameson Ice Cream. A festive menu of holiday fare includes Killarney Corned Beef and Cabbage ($18), Reuben Rolls ($18) and Breakfast Sandwiches ($15.)

Rebar will be open on Saturday, March 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Reservations are encouraged for guaranteed seating.

A View from the Sky

The downtown Chicago luxury hotel, renowned for its panoramic views of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River and the city’s historic architecture, also offers exclusive viewing opportunities for group events, in conjunction with the dyeing of the Chicago River green (which takes place at 10:00 a.m.) and the Columbus Drive parade (which steps off at noon).

St. Patrick’s Day viewing celebrations can be organized by contacting Private Events Sales Manager Ariel Lickton at (312) 588-8114 or alickton@trumphotels.com.

March for Kids

In addition, Trump Chicago associates will reach out to the local community on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 in support of the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls‘s “March for Kids” initiative, by distributing special shamrocks in return for gracious donations.

T. Colm O’Callaghan, vice president, managing director of Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago – and a native of Killarney, Ireland – is especially looking forward to the holiday. “It’s wonderful to bring a piece of my homeland to visitors and residents of Chicago,” he said. “No matter where they are in the property, every guest can experience a little taste of Ireland and an excellent vantage of the Chicago River and the parade.”
