Hip-hop legend Nas gave an unforgettable performance to celebrate the launch of the hot, new sneaker shop 12AM:Run at 1OAK at the Mirage on Tuesday night. The singer arrived in Vegas from Houston earlier in the day and stopped by 1 OAK for a sound check and dined at STACK Restaurant and Bar. Nas and seven members of his entourage ordered the restaurant’s greatest hits and cocktails from the restaurant’s new menu.
Then it was off to 1 OAK for photos on the red carpet, where the stylish emcee was clad in an all black ensemble from head to toe. He then was immediately escorted inside to a VIP table, where he quietly observed the scene. Before blazing the stage, he and the 12AM:Run crew celebrated the occasion with a toast.
He kicked off his performance with a special shout out to the new store as well as boxing champ Floyd “Money” Mayweather and rapper/BET 106 & Park host Bow Wow, who were also in the building. Nas performed a play list of his greatest hits including “Hate Me Now,” “Made You Look,” and the smash hit “If I Ruled the World.” The at-capacity crowd sang along to his songs, while dancing non-stop during his performance.
After Vegas and a fun-filled night, it was back to New York City for Nas and his entourage.
Also spotted at 1 OAK, boxing champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather and a large group at a VIP table next to superstar emcee Nas’ table; producer and “They Don’t Know” singer Rico Love taking in the scene at his table on the dance floor; rapper/TV host Bow Wow posing for pics and partying in a VIP booth; and NFL player Dwight Freeney celebrating his birthday.
