The City of Golden Beach’s Mayor Glenn Singer and his New Endeavor: City Slickers

What is better than a multi-talented, powerful man with a health conscious mind? According to me, not much. Meet Mayor Glenn Singer, who is now bringing Dade County what it was missing, a healthy and fresh option for lunch/dinner that will satiate you palette, and keep your figure in check.

Singer, who opened his first City Slickers location in North Miami Beach last December, just expanded, with a second shop in the Mary Brickell Village neighborhood. As a first time operator in the food business, he tells me “I’ve always liked the fast casual arena of dining and I felt there was a need for a good mix for salads and subs, healthy and fresh…. For example, if you go to lunch and one wants a sub or salad there is never that place that provides a combination that is quick and has an inviting atmosphere. All of our meats are free-range, hormone-free and everything is fresh, even the dressings and soups.”

Putting a lot of work into this project, along with his daughter Rachel, they claim their customers say that there has always been a need for this sort of a business. With exciting plans to expand into South Miami and Downtown Ft. Lauderdale in the next year, currently you can try City Slickers at either of their two locations.
