Leonardo DiCaprio won his second-ever Golden Globe on Sunday evening.

The actor picked up Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) for his role in Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills.

He thanked his director and mused that he never thought he’d win an award for acting in a “comedy.”

In the film, DiCaprio plays stockbroker Jordan Belfort, who fraudulently make millions of dollars before going to prison for refusing to co-operate in a 1990’s securities fraud case.

He beat out fellow nominees Joaquin Phoenix, Christian Bale, Bruce Dern and Oscar Isaac.
