After the unbeilebable frenzy of Justin Beiber news following his late-night arrest in South Beach for (allegedly) drag racing in a Lamborghini, we decided to let other outlets handle the story and stick to our usual luxe news. But when Beiber retained Haute 100 attorney Roy Black to represent him in court on Thursday, we had to step in and report.

The retention of Black is no surprise as he has long been known as the go-to man when celebs get in trouble. Having made his name representing boldface names like William Kennedy, Kelsey Grammer, Joe Francis, Helio Castroneves and Rush Limbaugh. He also knows how to handle the media circus, having appeared as a legal expert on “Today” show and “Good Morning America.” He also gets some experience handling attention as husband of Haute Ambassador and Real Housewives of Miami star Lea Black, who he met years ago when she was on the jury of one of his high-profile cases.

Interestingly enough, the star case apperently wasn’t such a big deal in the Black household. Lea didn’t even find out til the media announced the selection. She said in a tweet on Thursday, “U guys have me laughing! I just checked my tweets and found out about the Biebs, didn’t know – hubby just called -was too rushed to mention!”
