Haute Event: Diane von Furstenberg Debuts Journey of a Dress Exhibition

It may have been Golden Globes weekend, but the entertainment elite took a much-needed break from the festivities to fete fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg. 

The haute designer kicked off the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress with a star-studded soiree to celebrate the opening of her Journey of a Dress exhibition at LA.

Model Coco Rocha and Andy Cohen of Bravo hosted the gala, which took place at the Wilshire May Company Building in Beverly Hills.

The haute exhibition focuses on a retrospective of vintage and contemporary DVF wraps, with a timeline chronicling the journey of the iconic dress—from the first sample to a world-renowned symbol of power and freedom for entire generations of women. Limited Edition anniversary dresses created for the exhibition are also on display.

Also included in the exhibit are portraits of von Furstenberg by celebrated artists such as Andy Warhol, Barbara Kruger, Chuck Close, Francesco Clemente, Helmut Newton, and Annie Leibovitz.
