Amari Hotel Opens in Buriram, Thailand

If you’re in need of a quick getaway from Thailand-based ONYX Hospitality Group has recently launched a new hotel within the city of Buriram, Thailand. Known as the “city of happiness”, Buriram is located about 410 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. About a thousand years ago the area was under the Khmer Empire and many ruins are now found from that time. The largest stand on an extinct volcano in the Phanom Rung Historical Park.

The first football-themed hotel in Thailand, the 60-room property is located in the North Eastern province of Buriram and adjacent to the Thunder Castle Stadium, home to the celebrated local team, Buriram United. The hotel is owned by Buriram United Sport Hotel Co., Ltd and is operated by ONYX Hospitality Group under the Amari brand.

The hotel was designed by I’ll Design Studio, the same architects who created the neighboring Thunder Castle stadium. In line with its theme, the hotel pays tribute to football through a design modeled on a sports stadium, with the majority of rooms looking onto a central area that includes a mini football field and swimming pool. Featuring 44 superior rooms, 14 deluxe rooms and two suites ranging from 36 to 118 square meters in size, the rooms are furnished in the crimson blue and white of the football team’s home kit, with bathrooms are created after players’ changing rooms.

Amari Hotel in Buriram also features two bars and an all-day dining themed restaurant as well as a range of recreational facilities at the stadium, including tennis courts, a jogging track, basketball court and a fully-equipped gymnasium.

Guests can also marvel at local attractions such as the Phanom Rung Historical Park and Prasat Ban Khok Ngio. They can also just as well gett tickets to a football match. A great brief escapade away from Dubai, the Amari Hotel at Buriram promises a sportive and authentic getaway to Thailand.
