Here are the Haute Secrets of Rosie O’Neill, the co-founder of Sugarfina, a candy store for grown-ups. Sugarfina lauches in Beverly Hills this week at 9495 S. Santa Monica Blvd and will feature a candy tasting bar, a candy concierge and a special section devoted entirely to the 90210 called “A Taste of Beverly Hills.” O’Neill, the former director of marketing for Barbie, launched her company in August of 2012 with now-fiance Josh Resnick, and LA is just the latest stop on their super sweet world tour. Here is Rosie’s insider’s guide into the best places to stay, shop and enjoy sweet treats in the City of Angels.

Favorite Charity Event:
Suitcase Party. Everyone attends with a packed suitcase and one winning couple gets flown on a private jet to an all-inclusive Napa Valley wine tasting weekend. We’ve never won, but it’s such a fun concept, and they always have a great U2 cover band.

Does the West Hollywood Halloween Parade count? ☺
Favorite Cultural Institution:
You can’t beat a picnic and a bottle of champagne at the Hollywood Bowl
Best Steakhouse:
Mastro’s in Beverly Hills

Best Limousine/Driving Service:
Best Museum/Exhibit:
MOCA downtown, I loved their “Art in the Streets” graffiti exhibit.
Favorite historic/legendary place to see or explore:
I’m a sucker for Art Deco architecture, so I love walking around downtown and Miracle Mile.
All-around favorite locale in Los Angeles, whether a neighborhood, restaurant, venue, or other
Wednesday Farmers Market in Santa Monica around 7am. It’s pretty fun to shop for veggies alongside your favorite chefs.
Best aspect of Los Angeles
The variety. I’ve lived in seven different neighborhoods (Santa Monica, Brentwood, Westwood, West Hollywood, Miracle Mile, Hollywood Hills, Downtown) and love the unique experience you get in each place. Los Angeles is like several dozen cities rolled into one.
