Kim Kardashian is Engaged to Kanye West
Kim Kardashian celebrated her 33rd birthday in a big way: with an engagement. Rapper Kanye West popped the question at San Francisco’s AT&T Park on Oct. 21 in his typically grand fashion. Not only did he rent out the park, but he also hired an orchestra, had a Jumbotron scrolling “Please Marry Me” and even ordered fireworks to blast over ahead when his lady love inevitably said “yes.” West proposed with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond in front of the reality star’s family and friends. The couple is parents to five-moth-old daughter North West. The union will be Kim’s third marriage and Kanye’s first.

Eva Longoria Sells Legal Drama to NBC
Eva Longoria can add yet another producing credit to her growing roster. The 38-year-old actress and philanthropist has sold Vega v. Vega to NBC. It is the third project her company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment has sold this season alone. The CW network initially considered the show, about the relationship between mother and daughter attorneys who find themselves forced to work together, back in 2011. The Desperate Housewives star has had a stellar year so far; she sold a comedy inspired by a real sex therapist to NBC and Trust, an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela Pure Sangre, to ABC.

Thomas Tull Building $25 Million Retreat Outside of LA
Thomas Tull is building a new empire at Universal Studios, and he’s also creating one for himself at home. The Legendary Entertainment chair and CEO purchased three properties in Westlake Village back in 2011 and is melding the trifecta into one giant superhome. The entertainment honcho received approval in February to create his private 30-acre compound. He has tapped architect Brian Biglin, builder Peter McCoy and landscape designer Robert Truskowski to help realize his project. The home will also feature a tennis court, a 4,000-square-foot garage with a 25-foot observation tower, a pool house and a guardhouse. Tull signed a co-financing and distribution deal with Universal in July.
