Family Builders threw their first fashion fundraiser, “Fashion Fund for Families” at the elegant DZINE Gallery showroom in San Francisco’s design district. Hosted by LVMH’s Brenda Zarate and San Francisco businessman Jorge Maumer, the evening showcased international fashion in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Family Builders, the Bay Area nonprofit agency dedicated to finding permanent families for children and youth in foster care.

DZINE’s elegant home décor from cutting-edge Italian brands such as Boffi, Paola Lenti, Living Divani and Flexform served as the perfect backdrop for models to highlight ready-to-wear collections from designers Marc Jacobs, Europe’s Philipp Plein (who is expanding into the United States this year) and Helen Yarmak Furs.

Media sponsor and producer Luxetigers chose the gala as one of its select charitable events benefitting California-based organizations this year. Additional sponsors included Napa Valley boutique wineries Elizabeth Spencer, Romeo Vineyards and Twenty Rows who each hosted wine bars alongside a selection of other fine wines from Beyond the Label – Napa Valley and Out in the Vineyard. An El Jolgorio Mezcal Bar and decadent hors d’oeuvres were served throughout the evening with Choco Vogue gourmet chocolates and Chantal Guillon macaroons for dessert. Guests had the opportunity to bid on items in silent and live auctions to round out the evening.
