The hautest event of last week was easily a benefit for the “Stand Up for Gus” charity held at Hollywood hotspot Bootsy Bellows.
A-list celebrities came together for an intimate evening of comedy and entertainment on November 13th to raise awareness for the organization, which was founded by actor Jason Patric in order to raise awareness and provide assurance that no child should be left without the love and support of a parent.
The star-studded evening featured comedic performances by Sarah Silverman, Craig Ferguson and Jim Gaffigan, as well as a surprise musical performance by the Silversun Pickups; Chris Masterson provided music for the after-party.
Celebrity attendees included Matt Damon, David Spade, Chris Noth, Kiefer Sutherland, Mel Gibson, Chelsea Handler, Jon Hamm, Nikki Reed, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Adrian Bellani, Topher Grace, Jacqueline M. Wood, Jenn Brown, Octavius Johnson, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Bobby Campo, Jason Gedrick, Hanford Pittman, Tracy Marcellino, Brooke Nevin, Margo Martindale, Wes Chatham, Rochelle Aytes, Lucas Grabeel and Joe Buck.
Patric created the charity four years ago because he was stripped of his rights as a parent after an outdated statute for sperm donors was applied to Patric.
All proceeds from the event will fund legal assistance for broken families and the alienated parents desperately trying to maintain a relationship with their children.
