Haute 100 NY Update: Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Will Open Nationwide Christmas Day

Picture 1

The great Martin Scorsese and the dashingly handsome Leonardo Dicaprio have teamed up yet again for the highly anticipated documentary drama “The Wolf of Wall Street,” expected to be out on Christmas Day. The bold film is based on the memoir by former broker, Jordan Belfort, who infamously started and then crashed the “Boiler Room” brokerage. Giving us a glimpse into the weary world of Wall Street, Scorsese and Dicaprio unearth some of the less than glamorous ways of New York City’s financial district.

This film will mark the fifth collaboration between Scorsese and Dicaprio and both have said their relationship has grown stronger with each film. “Our relationship has evolved in the sense that with every new picture, we get to know each other a little better, trust each other a little more and go a little further,” Scorsese told Wall Street Journal. Dicaprio said “The Wolf of Wall Street” is their best effort yet, “simply because the trust level’s there.”

A star-studded cast will accompany Dicaprio on film, including Johan Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Rob Reiner and Spike Jonze for a feature film that undoubtedly guarantees a trip to the Oscars.
