LeBron James & Savannah Brinson Married
LeBron James finally married his high school sweetheart and long-time girlfriend Savannah Brinson in San Diego. The festivities began for the three-day affair on Friday at Grand Del Mar. Attendees included Miami Heat owner Micky Arison, Carmello Anthony and wife La La, and teammates Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union. There was even a surprise performance of “Crazy in Love” by guests Jay-Z and Beyonce. James was quoted earlier this year as saying that his mission was to ensure “that Savannah gets whatever she wants on her day, the wedding day she always dreamed of.” Mission accomplished.

Stephen Ross Donates $200 Million To University of Michigan
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross made a historic gift to his alma mater, the University of Michigan. While the university and notable alums like Jorge Perez are no doubt head over heels for the generous gift, local football fans are a bit green with envy.  “I also think it’s extremely important to be a good citizen from a philanthropic standpoint, and to set an example for others to do the same. Both commitments are important to me and both have the potential to leave a lasting legacy that will benefit so many people.”

Bill Clinton Pays Philip Levine An Office Visit
Beloved ex-President Bill Clinton attended a luncheon at Philip Levine’s Royal Media offices and campaign headquarters on Miami Beach along with best friend, and Best Buddies advocate, Anthony Shriver.  In a speech, Clinton said, “Philip walked door-to-door and knocked on over 4,000 doors because he wanted a direct relationship with the people. He wanted to listen, to learn and to sell himself.  I really think that this is an important election, not just for the people of Miami Beach, but for sending a signal of what kind of politics we need in America.”

The visit signaled Clinton’s official endorsement, to which the candidate said, “To say that I am honored to receive President Clinton’s endorsement of my candidacy is an understatement.
The correct adjectives are difficult to express, but this is a serious matter and I intend to be a Mayor that the residents will be proud of, as well as my friend, President Clinton.”
