On November 21, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center hosted a kick-off cocktail reception in honor of their upcoming signature fundraising event Designed for a Cure at the Oscar de la Renta Bal Harbour boutique. Dr. Stephen D. Nimer, Director of Sylvester, along with his wife Georgia Nimer and Designed for a Cure co-chairs Jamie McKinney Rusk and Denie Freyer Harris welcomed committee members, sponsors and friends of Sylvester while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and admiring the latest designs by Oscar de la Renta.
Here is what is even more interesting: now through December 21, 2013, if you shop at the Oscar de la Renta Bal Harbour boutique, just mention Designed for a Cure and 15% of net proceeds will be donated to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Designed for a Cure is a signature fundraising event benefiting research, prevention, education and compassionate care at Sylvester, which is set to take place February 13, 2014 at The Ice Palace.
