Haute Event: Nobu Matsuhisa Throws A Night of Canapés and Cocktails at the Hard Rock Hotel

Celebrated chef Nobu Matsuhisa along with 28 of his executive chefs from across the country hosted A Night of Canapés and Cocktails last night, Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the home of the restaurateur’s first Las Vegas location inside Hard Rock Hotel.

More than 500 guests including Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil, strip headliner Claire Sinclair and Robin Leach, mingled beneath the stars at the property’s secluded Breathe Pool while sampling light bites designed to showcase each restaurant’s unique style and palate. Some of the savory selections include grilled pork belly with amazu, pickled compressed watermelon and balsamic crema, fluke sashimi chimichurri and Wagyu short ribs topped with tomato jam and crispy shallots. In addition to the delectable dishes served, guests also sipped on signature cocktails including the Grapefruit on the Rocks made with Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Vodka, Canton Ginger Liqueur, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, grapefruit juice and a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Tuesday night’s event marked the first time talent representing chef Nobu’s original dining concept, Matsuhisa along with chefs from Nobu locations including Malibu, San Diego, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, New York, Next Door, Fifty Seven, Lana’i, Waikiki, Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas all came together to offer guests an opportunity to experience the finest of Nobu cuisine.
