Since their July birth, the two giant panda twins have been captivating the nation with their fluffy adorable selves.  Now, it’s almost time for the twins to get their own names. And you can help decide.  Teaming up with Good Morning America, Zoo Atlanta has officially kicked off a voting contest for their names.Choose your favorite pair of names, which were selected by the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China on the GMA website today.

The winning names will be revealed when the cubs reach the 100-day milestone on October 23, a very important day for the little guys.  And keeping with Chinese tradition, this day means a huge celebration including a Panda Extravaganza sweepstakes   where one lucky winner and a guest get to participate in the VIP Panda 100 Day Naming Celebration. The prize also includes round-trip airfare to Atlanta, two nights at the W Atlanta-Downtown, dinner for two at BLT Steak and a spa package for two at Bliss Atlanta during this visit.

But for now, we are happy to watch these cuties continue to grow by the day.  And if you don’t have the time to spend watching these cubs all day, just read the zoo keeper notes below the Panda Cam. The blog-like diary shows us a real-time glimpse at how the cubs are developing personalities and even gives us the nitty gritty, like when they nursed and who slept through the night.

While only one winner (and a guest) will be chosen for the 100 Day Naming Extravaganza, there are still some exclusive opportunities to get to see these guys up close. From 10-10:45 a.m. each Tuesday until November 26, 2013 you can purchase VIP access to Cub Vet Check Wild Encounters where you will witness some of the cub’s first vet check ups. This unforgettable experience includes a guided tour of the outdoor exhibits of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Giant Panda Conservation Center, plus interesting tidbits about the twins’ family history. Participants (only six are allowed each Tuesday) will then get to venture behind-the-scenes to the chat with the vet, ask questions and more. Tickets are $2200 for Zoo Atlanta members and $2500 for non-members, and you can purchase them here. For the rest of us, keep watching the live 24-hour a day panda cam and experience the two cubs growing up and reaching new milestones.
