A_Fair_To_Remember

In their seemingly endless quest to go above and beyond, while doing the unexpected, theWit Hotel (201 North State) has announced a year-long partnership with The Field Museum. The partnership, which starts October 25, coincides with the opening of the Field Museum’s upcoming exhibit, ‘Opening the Vaults: Wonders of the 1893 World’s Fair.’ In case you didn’t know (I sure didn’t), the 1893 World’s Fair was the debut of the Field Museum, so this exhibit has been 120 years in the making. The partnership with theWit will include a lobby installation featuring select artifacts and memorabilia courtesy of the Field Museum architects, a new menu inspired by the exhibit at State and Lake Tavern, “Ghosts of the 1893 World’s Fair” Halloween parties on the roof, and of course World’s Fair room packages.

With the World’s Fair room package you get to experience both the stylish and popular Wit Hotel, as well as the exhibit at the Field Museum at a VIP level. The package includes overnight accommodations at the hotel, two tickets to the World’s Fair exhibit, a Ferris Wheel tote bag, a World’s Fair mint tin and a Ferris Wheel inspired dessert. This packages starts at just $199 and will be available through September 7, 2014. Just visit www.thewithotel.com or call 312-467-0200.

As for the parties, just wait until you see the amazing, top-ranked ROOFontheWit (201 North State). 27 floors above the streets of downtown Chicago, you can experience the darker side of the 1800s with imagery projected on ROOF’s interactive 3D projection system, theWall. There will be candle walkers, tightrope walkers, ringleaders, jugglers and lion tamers in the crowd to make the night that much more memorable. This is a one-of-a-kind event and guests are encouraged to dress up in masquerade inspired costumes to create the full effect of being transported back to the 1893 World’s Fair. There will be three Halloween parties, October 25, 26 and 31. You can purchase the special Halloween tickets and table packages at www.roofonthewit.com/halloween-2013.
