F.P. Journe’s motto is ‘Invenit et Fecit’, Latin for ‘He invited it and made it’, which is quite apt for its particular brand of watchmaking. The timepieces created by this company feature new movements and new systems such as the resonance chronometer.  LA is F.P. Journe’s newest home, as the brand opened its ninth international boutique inside Sunset Boulevard’s tony Sunset Plaza this past June.  It’s an apt time for the brand to head to Hollywood, as its Octa Calendrier watch has been featured for the first time onscreen this year in the French film Mobius starring Oscar winner Jean Dujardin.

TOM FORD
346 N Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210

Tom Ford is having his Hollywood moment. Not only was the designer cherry-picked by Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake to create the classic tuxedos they wore for their ‘Legends of the Summer’ tour, but Jay even dedicated an entire track, the aptly titled ‘Tom Ford’, on his new Magna Carta Holy Grail album. Anyone who was anyone wore Ford’s tuxedos to the 2013 Oscars, including mega stars like Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds. But know this: Ford’s Rodeo Drive boutique carries much more than suits and ties.

ACCESSORIES

MARTIN KATZ
9540 Brighton Way, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
(310) 276-7200
Martin Katz is the go-to jeweler of the rich and famous, and the very best place, in our haute opinion, for gentlemen to purchase their accessories. His cufflinks in particular are objets d’art, using precious gems like black diamonds and sapphires in settings of 18K white gold. This year, Katz celebrated his 25th anniversary with a retrospective at his Beverly Hills salon entitled ‘MK-XXV, With Love’. Every piece in this collection is handmade, one-of-a-kind or limited production, signed, numbered and personally overseen by Katz himself.
