Haute Scene: San Francisco Opera Opening Gala

Deepa Pakianathan

The San Francisco Opera kicked off its 91st season in grand fashion with a performance of Boito’s ‘Mephistopheles’.  The evening’s theme, Garden of Good and Evil, inspired both devious and angelic fashions. The night began with dinner inside of City Hall, followed by the opening night performance. Guests then descended into the temptation of worldly delights at City Hall with a delectable spread of hors d’oeuvres, desserts and dancing into the night.
