Haute 100 LA Update: George Clooney Personally Delivers his Tequila to Venice’s Hotel Cipriani

Orient-Express Italy Cipriani

George Clooney played deliveryman over the weekend when he personally brought over a supply of his tequila brand to Venice’s storied Hotel Cipriani.

While in town for the Venice International Film Festival, the 52-year-old decided to drop off five cases of his new liquor brand Casamigos at the Cipriani, one of his favorite hotels.

In typical Clooney fashion, he arrived in style pulling up to the hotel in a speedboat.

The tequila was created by Clooney and longtime pal, restaurant and bar mogul Rande Gerber. The name Casamigos is named after the friends’ properties in Mexico and roughly translates to “house of friends”.
To mark the arrival of Casamigos at Hotel Cipriani, head barman Walter Bolzonella has created a signature cocktail named Goodnight Amigos, an adaptation of Clooney’s own cocktail, the Buonatte.
The Oscar winner is in Italy’s floating city to promote Gravity, his new film with Sandra Bullock.
