Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon kicked off the NFL season at Heraea inside the Palms as part of the restaurant’s Legends Series on Thursday night. As the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens took to the field, the former quarterback greeted guests at their tables and posed for photos with adoring fans. During halftime, Moon jumped on stage and answered crowd questions about the upcoming NFL season before raffling off signed jerseys that benefited his charities, Cresent Moon Foundation and Urban Youth Scholarship Fund. Moon finished watching the game at his VIP table while thunder sticks roared and foam fingers flew high as the Denver Broncos took the game with a final score of 49 – 27.
Also in attendance, comedian Carrot Top enjoyed the game with friends at the sports restaurant. The performer enjoyed football fare while watching the first NFL match of the season on the 12-by-16 foot big screen.
