This month NBA legend Kobe Bryant helped luxury watchmaker Hublot host a “Black mamba”-themed party in Shanghai, China. Bryant was on hand at the Hublot boutique on Nanjing West Road to help the Swiss manufacture introduce the King Power Black Mamba Chronograph Watch.
Together with Loic Biver, branding director of Hublot China, Byrant introduced the Chinese market to his signature timepiece, which Hublot created when the LA Lakers shooting guard became a brand ambassador in March. The trip to China also marked the first time Kobe came to the boutique to pick up his very own piece from the 250 piece limited edition.
At the event, Bryant commented, “My credo is to be firm, decisive and forward-moving, which is also the reason why I joined HUBLOT family without any hesitation. Moreover, I personally love the King Power Black Mamba Chronograph Watch collection very much, and it’s so amazing to witness such a perfect fusion of exquisite watchmaking expertise and my favorite basketball!”
