Haute 100 LA Update: Jennifer Aniston Gives Special Surprise to Sunset Tower Hotel Maître d’

Jennifer Aniston is a good “friend” indeed.

The A-list actress gave the maître d’ of her favorite spot, the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar, a reward far better than money: she gave him a role in one of her movies.

Courtesy of Aniston, Dmitri Dmitrov was cast in her upcoming film Squirrels to the Nuts. He’ll play — unsurprisingly — a maître d’.

According to E! the 44-year-old actress wanted Dmitrov for the role so badly that she had him flown to New York for three days of filming.

Back in 2011 Aniston told The New York Times of Dmitrov, “He creates this little pocket of safety, a haven where you know you’re not getting sold out by the waiter, a patron or the valet guy.”

The Peter Bogdanovich film revolves around a married Broadway director who falls for a prostitute-turned-actress and helps to launch her career. Owen Wilson and Olivia Wilde will co-star.

It set to hit theaters in 2014.
